Michele de Lucchi, Flamingo Table, 1983. For Memphis, Italy.
De Lucchi was a principal member of the Italian radical groups Alchymia and Memphis. The table is one of a series of four which use similar elements, colour and surface decoration. The names Kristall, Continental and Polar are taken from luxury hotels, bars and restaurants which was common for early Memphis objects.
